Children learn best through play and narratives, especially when they need to process a big transition or a trauma. I make personalized books for your child to tell the story of their experience. Example topics include:

• New Sibling
• Caregiver Transition
• Move
• Potty Learning
• New School
• Medical Procedure
• Parent Illness
• Sleep Routines & Bedtime Books

In-School Support

Ages 3-5 (SEIT)
Ages 0-3 (SI)

I offer private Special Education Itinerant Teaching (SEIT) services for children 3-5 years old and Special Instruction (SI) for children 0-3 years old in their school or classroom to support pragmatic language, social skills, general classroom functioning and self regulation. I work with a therapeutic team (Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, & Physical Therapists) to approach and strategize about developmental goals. This one-to-one support allows me to support your child’s goals within the classroom setting to make time in the classroom productive and successful.

Play Groups

Westchester, NY - Coming Soon

In the company of their peers and parents or caregivers, children will explore a variety of materials through play that engage their senses and ignite their curiosity. The primary focus of this class is to provide your little one the opportunity to engage in age-appropriate explorations. I intentionally select each material for open-exploration and discovery. The groups are facilitated by early childhood educators and social workers with extensive backgrounds in early childhood development, which allows for parents and caregivers to ask questions related to their child’s development.

Services for Parents:

Parenting Groups

Parents of Children Ages 0-6 Years Old (All are Welcome) Currently virtual via Zoom

Parenting is as hard as it is rewarding. Children have big feelings and so do we! Navigating your child’s individual development brings a host of questions and emotions and you should not have to parent in isolation. I offer these parenting groups to create an open, warm community and support system; a place that is non-judgemental; a place to share ideas; a place to vent - even a place to laugh. These groups are for parents of children aged 0-6 years old. All are welcome.

While all parents are welcome in every parenting group, I offer a group specifically for parents of children with developmental variations.

The Developmental Variations Parenting Group supports families of young children receiving early intervention or special education or services from birth to age 5. This group offers parents a unique space to not only talk about the logistical side of parenting a child with developmental needs, but also the emotional journey.

Parent Support

Parents of Children Ages 0-6 Years Old

One-to-one parent support (via Zoom) for families with children ages 0-6 years old. A one hour initial session will be scheduled to gain a comprehensive family history, where I will learn about your child, your parenting style, and the questions or challenges that brought us together. Every parent leaves the initial session with at least a few strategies to get started with.

ONGOING SESSIONS (45 minutes): These sessions are designed for parents who need support both ongoing and for specific situations. My goal is to help you feel more empowered in parenting as well as to give you a developmental background geared towards the age of your child.
